A good friend of mine, John Dale Hebert, has requested an inlay of a Cajun accordion to be used as a wall accent in his home. John Dale is an accomplished accordion player & musician and I thank him for the opportunity to produce this unique piece.
We created a 3/8” deep pocket in the maple to accept the cherry inlays on our MultiCam CNC Router. The accordion was engraved with a 1/16” end mill to a depth of 1/8”. The project took approximately 8 hours to complete and I must say….”I enjoyed every minute”.
To complete this unique piece, I used 7 coats high gloss poly acrylic.
