We finished our gate project today. After removing the clamps, we ran the pieces through our sander. This removed the glue residue and evened up any height differences at the joints.
The next step involved cutting the arc for the outside radius doors.
Since all the gates were pairs, we used a T-astragal molding for center alignment. We pre-drilled and countersunk our holes in the molding. We attached the T-astragal with exterior screws and waterproof glue.
This completes our part of this project…now it’s off to the painters and installers.
